i was not informed by the management at the oasis club apartments in miami florida that their apartment complex is a haven for criminal activity. robberies, cars were stolen from paid secure parking areas, apartments were broken into constantly and all under the watchful eye of security staff. my vehicle was vandalized and sat with thousands of dollars worth of damage, and management did not notifiy me of the incident. when i decided to vacate the premises because of fear for my life and property i was penalized by management. not only did they sue me they accused me of ruining the carpet in the apartment, the carpet was used when i moved in. the plumbing is also horrible. the toilets don't flush, the airconditioning filters are never changed and the building contains mold. don't be fooled by the special move in price it's just a way of tricking you to rent from them, and they know that the renters will vacate early because of all the problems that the complex is having. remember don't be fooled or ripped-off by the oasis club in miami florida

#2Consumer Suggestion

Fri, December 03, 2004

I have been an apartment manager for over 10 years
and know exactly where you are coming from however, there is only so much that we can do and say to our residents. My suggestion is to get a police report from your local police department of any activity reported before you move to a community.
