Oasis Moving And Storage Promised delivery in 2 weeks.Took over a month. Truck driver wanted balance in cash and a extra $350.00 before he would unload. Items missing and trashed. Internet
My complaint is the same as every other report filed on here against Oasis Moving And Storage. They were nice until I signed the contract. I was promised to have my property within 2 weeks. It took them over a month before they delivered my property.I would call them to find out where my property was and I would not get a straight answer. If I left a message I would never get a return phone call. The day my property was delivered I was greeted by a truck driver and his partner that had no visible semi-truck present. He said he could not deliver my property in the truck they had and would have to transfer my property into a smaller truck to deliver and it would cost me another $350.00 Cash. I told him I had a contract and the extra $350.00 was not on there. He said either you pay it or I find " a place" to unload it and I would incur those charges. I paid him. He walked away and my neighbor over heard his partner ask him, "why are you charging them the $350.00?" The driver replied, " Cause I can !". The driver and his partner showed up an hour later to unload. As they were unloading we started to notice a lot of damage. Boxes that I had taped and bound with rope were cut open and items were missing. A dresser came into my home trashed. Boxes were missing. I made a report with the Chicago Police Department and the Better Business Bureau of Las Vegas. Totally caught me off guard. I was'nt thinking. A contract is a contract. No additional pay outs are legal. Call the police if this happens to you.
