On August 2 Oasis Travel Club called to tell me I had won a second place prize in an online contest. I was suspicious right away and asked what the catch was, I asked if they were a timeshare and he said no, I asked how I won this prize and he said he didn't know they were just the company that handles the promotion. Don't you fill out surveys online? he asked? That is one thing I like to do online so I thought it might be legitimate.

We continued to talk; he told me his name was John Wilson at extension 2200. I asked him what I had to do and why he was calling me. He said everything is paid for, roundtrip airline flights for two, 4 days/3 nights in Orlando, hotel and 2 tickets to attractions, 3 days/2 nights in Daytona, again hotel and tickets for a casino cruise, and a 3 day/2 night cruise to the Bahamas. Then came the biggest RED FLAG- all you have to do is pay the taxes, airport taxes, hotel taxes, and port taxes for the cruise, it's only $319.00 prepaid of course.

I continued to question him, Shouldn't I get something that tells me all about it in writing? He said my packet would be shipped UPS as soon as I paid and I only had 2 weeks to pay. I asked him for their phone number (888 883-8404). I also asked for a website for further review he said they did not have an active site! I told her I would talk to my wife and call him back. After I hung up, I did a basic web search that showed to be a big scam. I put their name in my search engine and all that came up was the rip off site. I did other searches and still nothing legitimate about Oasis Travel Club.
