I was looking for the obituary of an old college friend. I submitted my request, watched while the website appeared to be gathering info and showing it on a scale. Site said "We are Offering Your Report for $1. Please Continue Now to Ensure You Get Your Report." I then submitted credit info but then no report appeared and there was no explanation. The website became www.Myinfo1.com instead of www.Obituary.us.org. I suspected a scam so I contacted the online customer support. I have kept a copyof that lengthy conversation with Susan. From her I learned that I had supposedly agreed to pay $19.95 but I never saw anything to that effect during the entire process. She also said "Upon review of your account, I can see that your original search was not accepted that is why and this happens very rarely." That was clearly a lie -- unless it is standard with everyone --  because every reputable business immediately notifies you if something about your transaction does not go through. She repeated canned answers, including hoping I was satisfied that she removed the $19.95 and the $1.00 charge. I hope she did, in fact, do that. But she never could explain why there was no report at all.
