Today I received a letter in the post from "International Lotto Commission" telling me I had won 615,810euro in the spanish lottery. As I have never bought a ticket I thought this slightly odd. I decided to google the company they were asking me to contact and found a host off other people who had received these letters.

What they want you to do is fax your personal bank details to someone called Mr John Lopez and they will deposit your money. Then, they say they will require 10% of your winnings as a claims agent fee.

THIS IS A SCAM - DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE YOUR DETAILS!!!

If you do your identity could be at risk.

What I want to know is where did they get my name and address from in the first place!!! The envelope looks like it was typed on a typewriter and the post mark is Malaga.
