Occidental Vacation Club Allegro Playacar They owe us money and are unlawfully withholding it from us Playa Del Carmen Playa Del carmen
We were scammed into a deal with the Occidental Allegro Playacar by a Canadian on top of that. A Canadian that comes from our own province (Wanda Markin)scammed us in purchasing a vacation club from occidental vacation club. Look her up, she went bankrupt in Calgary after owning a furniture store. We purchased it on January 9, 2017 and after having buyer's remorse, we went back to the sells office the next morning and said we were backing out of the deal. Edson Acoltin (one of the managers) (eacoltzin@mx.occidentalhotels.com) tried everything to try and keep us as clients. When he finally realized that he wasn't getting anywhere, he walked out of the room with a disgusted look on his face. He used tactics that were horrible to try and keep us in. We asked what we needed to do in order to get our money back and he explained that all we needed to do was send an email to Alberto Garcia (agarcia@mx.occidentalhotels.com) and the process would be started. once it was acknowledged, the vacation club would have 15 business days to refund our money. Alberto acknowledged our email that same day. After waiting the 15 days, we still had not received our money back from Greta Sanchez (grsanchez@mx.occidentalhotels.com). I contacted the vacation club directly in Dominican Republic and was told that I had to deal with the Allegro directly but that they should refund me. I finally got an email back from Greta Sanchez stating that they had acknowledged our cancellation and that we would be refunded all of our money except for $250US Allegro money that they supposedly gave to us. We returned this money along with our contract but they keep saying that we kept it. What would we do with Allegro money in Canada? I have signed document from them saying they will refund us but we have yet to see the money. Every time I call, they are always in meetings. I have had many email conversations with Greta Sanchez in regards to the refund, she says she will look into it and get back to me. Where is our money?
