I have unfortunately had a mortgage with this lender for a year and they have charged illegal fees, apparently now instigated a foreclosure without following proper procedure.

Cannot reach them on the phone. they have a Chris Chance who is the loan resolution department and if you call their regular number it automatically switches you to his voice mail and then of course he never calls you back.

Keep getting recorded computerized calls from "Barbara" and "Jordan" but of course no one is actually on the phone. YOu cannot get info from them and their rip-off law firm Morris Schneider and Prior LLC will not give me a straight answer .

First told me my house was not in foreclosure then immediately sent a bill charging both a "foreclosure fee" for 1224.42 and a "foreclosure attorney fee" of 550.00 , all apparently to write the letter. This in addition to Ocwen already charging "legal fees" to my mortgage statements. For what? They are such bloodsuckers.

I am a widow who has worked LIKe a dog for 15 years for this house and I should have at least $50,000 equity in it but of course they aren't giving me time to sell and they had the pre-payment penalty of an unknown amount for 3 years which was not disclosed until I was sitting int he lawyer's office to sign the morgage papers and by then I didn't have time to seek another mortgage company as I was in a pinch to refinance after being laid off work for a year.

Should I just give up and let the house go or try ot fight? How can I join a class action suit. Please email (quick) me with any suggestions. I have conflicting dates about when this is to happen. So far they have not published it in the paper and I thought they had to do that.

my boyfiend went through forclosure last year, because ocwen would not accept money by check or wire that we sent. the only thing we we ever got back from the was the wired money. they said they set checks back with a letter but we neverr got them back. so according to them we were behind on payments. we did not that they were forclosing on us until we got a note posted on our front door from the realtor that was suppose to sell the house. after we got that we got a realastate attorney. he got the foreclosure stopped. we have been living in the house still since june of last year. get an attoney.

Do not worry about what you don't have

Hi it's Texino. I think that you are maybe over concerned about some of these fees. They can charge you a billion dollars if they want but the real point here is for you to get back to a situation where you can make your house payment and therefore keep your house.

To do this, you need to search for "Legal Aid" in your area. You can arrange to talk to a lawyer for free or a small amount of money. Ask him or her what your options are. You may be surprised or the news may not be good. Either way, you will know where you stand, which is more than you seem to know right now.

I know that the pressure of this sort of thing can cause an overwhelming depression which will make you just want to give up. You may find that looking at the situation from a point of understanding and strength will feel much better than peeking into an envelope to see what fresh Hell this company has cast on you this week.

Remember, these fees are just numbers. The facts are the appraised value on your home, the amount you borrowed and how much you agreed to pay back each month. If you have tried to make your payments or if you cannot make them do to some valid reason, a court is going to find it hard to toss you from your home. This is why it is very important to get an opinion of your real legal standing from someone who has an interest in your side; Legal Aid, Paralegals, Law Schools etc.

I really hope you can do this or have a friend or relative who will help you. It is a shame that our Government plays to the interest of the big business sector rather than that of the individual. Such a shame that, if you can make some noise and get the attention of your community, things can start to turn your way.

I wish you the best of luck. If I find any information that will help, I will post it. Just remember you can only win if you get into the fight and do your best.

Sincerely

Kathy

I have been trying to call them for three weeks and keep getting automatically routed to JUST THE VOICE MAIL of "Chris Chance" a "loan resolution officer". I cannot contact anyone at the company at all? Would it be worth it to try to work out a forebearance agreement since I don't have the
$6300. their attorney MSP said I owe, Up from $3000 two weeks ago. ? I am afraid of all their fees if they multiply at this rate. How do I even reach Ocwen now? They charged $1700. worth of "foreclosure fees" before my house went into foreclosure. In fact, I don't know if it did. I can't get straight information. Thanks for all the support. Please post that number so eveyone will know..

Ocwen has you where they want you

Kathy,
I am one of the many people who are involved with the class action in Connecticut with Kweku Hanson. I have stayed silent for sometime because it takes everything a person has to fight these people.

Believe me, if you do not stand up and fight now they will continue with what they are doing. Chapter 13 will only work for so long and they can have that lifted after a certain time.

Some of the lawyers' fees they are charging you may be illegal. You have to do what you think is best for you but I am here to tell you that you need to fight! Dig in your heels and let them know they are NOT going to win! Let them know you want to see them spend many, many years behind bars and that the attorneys who are helping them are disbarred and spend time in prison along with Mr. Erbey et. al.

Get in touch with Mr. Hanson via the address given to you on this report. If you don't want to go that route, find an attorney in Alabama to help you. Believe me, there are many attorneys who want to start class actions against these criminals because they know it is a win situation. Ocwen will pay dearly for what they have done.

Do not be afraid. Get them where it hurts.

Afraid to fight them. Can't afford their fees.

Thanks so much for the support. I am afraid to try to fight them. Afraid they will keep adding thousands of dollars of fees if I try to stay with them. They put a clause in, that I couldn't sell for 3 years without a penalty but they didn't say the amount of the penalty and I don't have money to keep pouring in to all their fees. They have already tacked on over $3000 lawyer fees and other fees. I owe more now than I ever borrowed and I've only had the loan a year. I'm afraid another year will make me owe them double what I borrowed. What do you think? would chapter 13 help any? I'm afraid that would just be more fees and keep me tied to this terrible company. I just want out from any association with them. I know a foreclosure will ruin my credit forever but I'm afraid staying with their add on fees will ruin me worse. Thanks for any advice.

Another Victim From Ocwen HELL!

#7Consumer Suggestion

Sat, March 20, 2004

Dear Kathy,
I sympathize with your situation. I am also another victim of this OCWEN HELL. All i have to say is you have many, many friends and supporters on this website. We must all stick together and beat OCWEN. I recently joined the class action suit in CT with Mr. Kweku Hanson. He has been involved with his OCWEN HELL for over two years. He is a lawyer, but he is also a victim of OCWEN. If you are interested in joining this class action suit, please forward all your documentation with a detailed notarized letter of the OCWEN HELL you have endured to Mr. Hanson at:
487 Main Street, Suite Two
Hartford, Connecticut 06103-3007

Also, why let OCWEN HELL win? Fight for your house-why are you giving up so easy? Maybe this case will take a year or many years to win, and we will win, but in the end, it will be worth all the fights, tears, stress, and sleepless nights to finally help put an end to this OCWEN HELL. Good Luck!
