Ocwen Federal Bank Deceptive practices of "invisible" mortgage company ripoff business from hell Orlando Florida
For 28 years I've been a licensced real estate broker in my home state. A couple of years ago I sold an Ocwen Federal foreclosure, and it was the deal from hell on the seller's side.
I refinanced my house about 2 1/2 years ago via another company who late last year sold my loan to Ocwen. I immediately went into panic-mode. I called my attorney just to alert them. Today when I discovered they show me with late pays on my credit report, in an amount not close to the payment amount NOR have there been any late pays (I'm lucky in that they haven't called, harrassed but that is probably just around the corner). I received a notice charging me $279.00 for late payments. I have learned to check my bank by phone monthly to see when they cash my check. I mail another out-of-state payment, as a control, at the same time, and at the post office.
Ocwen's check always clears nearly two weeks after I've mailed it. I recently received notice that my adjustable loan was not adjusting this period. Interesting in that I have a 30 year fixed rate mortgage.
I resent the time, emotion and energy they steal by being among the slimiest. They make Enron look like nice people. As for a phone call, forget it. They are not even listed with LA info and that is where the payment goes. They seem not to be listed in FL either which is the address I have there. I'm getting the phone number - and thank you whoever turned it in- from this site.
My attorney's assistant who answered the phone today immediately knew the name of Ocwen. She said "you're not alone". So now I guess it's money for attorney fees in an effort to make them acknowledge error. I'm also old enough to know they won't.
If anyone wants class action and feels we have a chance, let me know. I have never in my life wanted litigation on anything. I'm a peace-at-all-costs person. I want these people stopped.
