As a Realtor in the state of Georgia, I was recently contacted by a friend/client to assist in the sale of her home. Upon asking for information re: her current loan, etc., it became apparent that a problem existed of which she had lost control. I examined her loan documents, a refinance through Ocwen Federal Bank, and was appalled to see the state that my friend had gotten into as a result of her choice to refinance with this lender.

I attempted in a timely manner to secure necessary payoff and documentation to prevent an imminent foreclosure, and according to my experience, there was plenty of time for this to happen. This is where the nightmares began.

To date, I have tried to communicate no less than a dozen times to get someone at Ocwen to listen to our story, which would be a win-win for all. The people at Ocwen have a terrible attitude, and intentionally drag their feet on every issue. No one seems to care that there is a qualified buyer that will pay off this existing exorbitant loan with Ocwen, and relieve the unsuspecting present owner of the immiment foreclosure process.

It is very frustrating to try to operate in a professional manner, and deal with the obvious and deliberate delays that are seemingly occurring with our friend/client. Our hands seem to be tied, and because of failure to cooperate in a timely manner, it appears that this property will be another notch in Ocwen's foreclosure belt!

Something must be done about loan companies who exploit unsuspecting and vulnerable homeowners!
