My mortage was bought by Ocwen two months after I bought my home. I didn't have a problem with my previous broker(RBMG). Ocwen claimed that they had not recieved my payment and I explained to them that RBMG was tranfering any payments recieved after a certain date to the new mortgage company. I was harrassed every day for two weeks about by payment.

Finally I went to my bank and collected my check that had already gone through my account. I gave them all of the information including the date that it had cleared. They insisted on having the check send to them so they could see for themselves. I instructed them to contact my bank representitive if they had further questions regarding the check.

About a two months later, I fell into some hard times with money because I was in between jobs. I called Ocwen as a courtesy and explained that I would be late and I gave them a date when I would be sending the payment. I went as far as telling them my check number. They told me no problem and that they would note my file so I wouldn't recieve phone calls.

About a week after that I recieved a certified letter from their so called attorneys stating that if I didn't have $1800 by the first of may, they would forclose on my home. I called and spoke with a representitive from their collections dept and stated that it was against the law to include the next months payment in the forclosure, seeing how that payment was not due at that time. He stated "yes mam" and that he wanted my checking acct. information.

I told him that the next time they speak with me it will be in front of my attorneys and a judge. I have not heard a word from them since. I am in the process of having my bank buy my mortgage from them. I have asked Ocwen on several occasions to sell my mortgage to someone else, but of course they want to screw someone else over.
