In 2004, Ocwen purchased my loan from the original bank that held my mortgage.

Very soon after that, I began receiving phone calls, several per day, early in the morning through late at night. Ocwen said I was behind in my payment (and I was, but only by a few days) and I needed to get then a specified amount of money by a particular day. I followed their instructions, paid their exhorbanant late fee and thought the matter was tabled.

A few days later, a representative called and said that the payment I sent was not received in time, and it made my mortgage not one month late, but two. Again large late fees were attached, but not having any other avenue to follow, I got a certified check and sent it by overnight courier.

A few days later, a representative called and told me that I still owed more in late fees, and over and over again.

From the time I was a few days late with my payment, I was never able to catch up and make the mortgage current.

Ocwen finally forclosed on my mortgage in 2005.

I lost the house that our family had spent many summers and Christmas vacations. I have owned two homes for more than twenty five years and had never had any trouble with a mortgage company before. The house was valued at 500k and I walked away from it for a 200K mortgage.

Ocwen stole my home just as if it was holding a gun to my head. Soon after the foreclosure, the stress of the past year helped in making suicidal and I was hospitalized in May of 2005.

Now, in 2010, I am just able to start moving ahead with issues that I have been unable to deal with in the past five years. My credit report is a shambles and I lost all of the equity in my home which was all of my savings.

I want my house back!
