Where shall I start? First off Ocwen Bank bought our second morgage loan from MetWest Mortgage Serices. They never notified us in a timely manner that they were doing so. Briefly, we finally did get the notification a month too late at which time there were late charges due for two months.

They refused to credit those back and we paid them. Our previous bank Metwest had put us onto automatic withdrawal from our checking account for the payments and the bank previous to that also had us on auto withdraw. These banks had made the withdrawal arrangements on their own with our authorization of course.

Why did Ocwen not do this as well. Then once we got going with them in July 2001. Since then they had charged us two times for late payment fees for which we were not late with the payments. One time they did credit the fee back but the second time they did not.

What bothers me is that I reallized after paying the last late charge that I had actually made an extra monthly payment just prior to the late charges. I did not evan owe them that payment at all.

The loan was paid up in May of this year. They had the nerve to charge us that late charge as part of the closing payment. We paid it to be rid of them under protest. In addition to that they charged us a closing service fee to close out the contract. Albert Plass I hope u can nail these people.

Another thing which I would like to address with someone is the policy which allows a bank to sell a mortgage to another bank. This should not be allowed in this country because it just allows the new bank to do what ever it wants and is just a big big inconvience to the consumer. To me it's a crook of S....
