Our mortgage was purchased by Ocwen Federal Bank and we received our first statement from them in May 2002. Our Mortgage payment
is due on the 1st, but we have till the 17th to get our payment there and it still be considered "on time". The harassing telephone calls start at the first of the month and don't let up until our payment has been received.

Even after speaking with a customer relations representative and explaining to them that we have till the 17th, their response is "This was an automatic-computer dial-up and this is how we work".
These people that they call "Customer relations Representatives" are rude, obnoxious and are some of the least helpful people thatI have ever tried to do business with.

Case in point, my husband just recently returned to work afterbeing laid off for several months and unfortunately we did get behind on our mortage payment (only one month). We sent them two payments in the month of May, transferring money from our savings account into our checking to cover the second mortgage payment. Well, somehow, when transferring funds from our
savings, our Bank accidentally transferred our money into some one else's account, causing our check to be returned to Ocwen.

After calling and explaining what had happened, we still got a hassle and were told that from now on our payment has to be sent in certified funds. Come on people, mistakes happen like this!

This place doesn't want to cut you any slack at all. All they care about is "Where's our money?" You're not a person, all you are is a loan number. They do not want to work with you to help solve any problems, they do not care if you are suffering a temporary financial hardship. THEY JUST DON'T CARE PERIOD.
