On Friday, July 26,2002, Capitol Abstract & Title Co.in Midwest City, OK was closing escrow on a home for an owner who was packed and ready to move to Mississippi.

On Monday, July 22,one of the processors for Capitol called OCWEN for a payoff amount that would be good thru Friday. She did not receive the info, so on Thursday,July 25th, she called and faxed OCWEN again for the info. She was told it takes 5 days to get that information because the documents are locked in a vault and cannot be accessed.(DUH,with all our computer technology, they keep only paper docs locked in a vault) On Friday, July 26th, the processor called 2-4 times throughout the day, trying to get the information. Then she was told that it tales 7-10 days. She finally talked with Rodrigo, the alledged manager. He told the processor he would try to expedite the matter. Nothing more has been heard and Rodrigo was unavailable to take calls for the rest of the day.

It appears that OCWEN is deliberately withholding the information in order to gain more per diem interest on the loan at the expense of the unsuspecting consumer.

This is unethical and fraudulent in my opinion.
