I am just another victim of Ocwen's many. I did not realize how bad my situation with Ocwen was until I can across this Ripoff website, and read the countless disturbing customer complaints.

I did fall behind with my mortgage payment which was $1242.00 a month. Every month I am late, Ocwen charges $119.51 . They sent a letter stating I needed to cure my delinquency with $ 6765.03 and agree to their forbearance plan, in 12 installments.

I sent them a total of $3000.00 in the month of Jan 2003, and every month after that, sarting in March 2003 I sent them $ 1500 per the agrrement. They said several times, that in Jan 2004, I would have completed the forbearance agreement, and would return to my regular payment.

You could imagine my surprise when my bill for Feb 2004 came in the mail for $1500.00 . When we called them, they said they could alter the forbearance plan at any time without any written, or verbal consent.

This means, tomorrow, they can come take my house if they feel like it?! If I am one day late, per the forbearance plan, they would take my home. To top it off, they have made, what I feel, are bogus charges. They have charged me "future late fees", charged me twice for the same month on late fees, and somehow I still owe them $ 3000.00 after a year of paying them what they asked.

They say all the extra money I have paid to them was just for the lawyer fees. Their statements say a total of $ 840 approximately for lawyer costs. Where has all my money gone?

I signed a forbearance agreement because I felt I had no choice. Sign the agreement and agree to pay $1500 a month, or don't sign, lose my home, and my land, have nothing to show for all my hard work, and still owe Ocwen money?

When I contacted Ocwen because I was having financial problems, they referred me to their Loss Prevention department. They said they would work with me to help me get current on my mortgage.

You would think because I told them, "hey, I have a $1200 payment I'm having trouble making," they would help.

They helped alright. They said, "You can pay $1500 a month til you get current, and we are still charging you late fees for all the months you are on the forbearance plan...".

Thank you very much Ocwen, for causing me more problems.
Not just financially, but even mentally. There have been times me and my husband have fought over this d**n house and said is it worth it? I believe it is. But Ocwen is not going to cause me a divorce-that's all I need- another bill!!!!

My advice is this - Stay away from signing anything with that company until your lawyer looks it over...

And, Just stay from Ocwen, they are not worth it!

Gina, Your dealings with Ocwen is exactly what me and my husband has gone threw the past year! I also pray we don't get a divorce after 28 years of marriage but the stress and anxiety is unbelieable. We are current as of now, even paid a month ahead but I am just waiting for their letter stating they had made a mistake and we need to pay them more money. I am now checking my credit reports, saving money and praying by next year we will be out of their grip! It has been the worst fianicial stress I have ever been under!!

The government needs to do something about these mortgage servicing scams now!! I have a feeling it is only going to get worse before it gets better. I have spoke with everyone, middle class working people, regarding Ocwen and they are shocked that this could happen in our country.
The American dream of owning your own home is becoming just that...a dream.
