Ocwen Federal vs You; You can win! ..do what ever it takes to get out from under Ocwen Federal
I owned my home for over 14 years and raised my only child here as a single mother, on Friday night about 6:00 p.m. I was served a "Notice to Quite" two weeks before Christmas. I had 72 hours to move out of my home. Ocwen Federal had sold my house, I was never even notified prior the the "Notice to Quit", this was the Christmas of 1999.
I had to hire a lawyer ($1800.00) and I spent the next four months in and out of courts with my cancelled checks showing in fact I had made all of my mortgage payments, Ocwen Federal told the courts I was paying rent, after all they had sold my home.
I did of course win the case, however I never did receive my legal fee's back (even though the court did award me my legal fee's) as I soon found out that was another case and I needed more money to give my lawyer ($4,000.00) to get my legal fee's back, needless to say I did not have the money.
In October of 2000 Ocwen Federal sold my loan to Litton Loan Servicing LP and I was never notified by either company, so I was served another "Notice to Quit" (April of 2001)this time from Litton Loan. In the mean time Ocwen Federal was accepting and cashing all my mortgage checks. Again I needed another lawyer ($400.00) to resolve this proplem.
We did get things worked out and I have not had any problems since. THANK GOD!
All I can say is GOOD LUCK! and do what ever it takes to get out from under Ocwen Federal as soon as you can, I just about lost my mind over Ocwen Federal, we do not deserve this!
God Bless all of you!
