I am writing after much frustration, I unfortunaltly had Ocwen buy my loan from novastar. I realized what a crock of crap these people were and quickly refinanced. I payed off Ocwen in may they recieved the check May 25,2006. Of course we overpayed that is what everyloan does.

To my surprise they told me that it would take 30 days to process before my overpayment was mailed. So then I waited 30 days comes around I call back and speak to someone in the india call center they said it was mailed out that day and i should recieve it within 5 days, Nope never happened.

So I called back and spoke to Perhsin (aka india rep) a supervisor that guarranteed that my money would be wired to my account within 24 hours, didnt happen so I called back spoke to him again and he told me that he wanted to confirm my account and that it would be another 24 hours, didnt happen so I called back again and spoke to shakiam (aka india rep supervisor)She was helpful but could not give me a reason for why this happened, She took my info to her supervisor Mithum, I was placed on hold while he contacted the cashiering dept who I could not talk to. They informed him it would be placed in my account within 24 hours.

Didnt happen, So then I called every number I could locate on the internet for Execs in florida that work in the orlando office.Left messages. Cyndi Bloom accounting assistant called me back! Although she had nothing to do with this department she emailed the cashiering department Mithum the supervisor and sent me to a complaint hotline where they call you back within 2 hours so I am waiting for the call. Even though they only owe me 286.00 if you ad in the daily interest that they charge you it is well over 1300.00.

I did inform her that there has been 484 complaints to the BBB and 7 class action law suits pending against them. How can they withhold my funds my account is paid off! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Serha,

If you don't already participate in the lottery you should! (I'm just kidding). But based on what you have written you must be one of the luckiest people alive. After all 99.99% of the people that have had the extreme misfortune of dealing with Ocwen (OCN) describe their experience as being nothing less than a total nightmare.

Most people, based on postings here and other sites, usually describe Ocwen's clear criminal intent and success at stealing their homes and/or equity along with the purposeful destruction of their credit.

That's my opinion, based on the information that I have seen.

I have some shocking updates, I recieved a phone call last week from "Rob" a very nice employee of Ocwen. He had informed me that he had read my dilema on Rip off report and thought he could help. I explained my situation, believe it or not he agreed that this was their error and had the money wired to my checking account of 264.87, then he also refunded me the late charge of 42.95, our refi month as well as the interest that had occured on the amount that was owed to me at what our interest rate was at 7.95%. It wasnt much but he rounded up for our hardship, I believe that this was a huge error but he did rectify it. i do thank him for that, However I will not go through Ocwen again but there are some very good employees there.
Thanks Rob for the help!

Serha,

You should consider yourself extremely lucky given the fact that they were only able to thieve a comparatively small amount of money. Usually, they plunder at least ten or a hundred times that much and intentionally destroy your credit at the same time.

BTW: Currently, there are over 27,200 law suits pending against Ocwen. With the exception of a minute number of cases there really hasn't been any substantive restitution awarded to any of the thousands of Ocwen victims. And even more incredible is the fact that absolutely no criminal charges have been filed in association with any of these cases (Certainly not that I'm aware of anyway).

The Best of Luck to You!
