Ocwen forced us into Chap. 13 bankruptcy and WE found a company to refinacne us - but when they found out they had to deal with Ocwen they wouldn't! West Palm Beach Florida

Ocwen purchased our mortgage from another company.

We were on a payment plan with the original company and actually making forward progress. We had five months to go and we would be back on track.

Ocwen purchased the mortgage, did not honor the initial agreement, and told us to sell our house because there was no way that we could afford it. We refused to give up. We tried everything. Unfortunately with our credit history we did not get very far.

They harassed us every night with phone calls telling us we were trash and that we were going to lose so we might as well give up. Well, we had virtually no other bills so we declared Chapt. 13 just so that we could save our house.

However, paying the trustee and our mortgage every month became virtually impossible. We have constantly struggled, let our other bills go unpaid and we really have no life. We try so hard and we really refuse to let them win but at this point we're not sure there is another choice.

We are taking full blame for not making monthly payments because we just simply couldn't do both. Ocwen never sends/sent us a statement. They said since we are in bankruptcy there is no reason to. We disagree but it was a point we were not going to win on.

Actually, we didn't win many arguments with them at all.

Is there anyone out there that knows how we can resolve this? We actually found a company that would consider talking to us regarding refinance/avoiding foreclosure.

However, once they found out our mortgage company was Ocwen they refused to speak with us.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated it. Of course this story has more to it than what is listed here but it is too long to write.

Thanks for the ears -- much appreciate it.

Why Ameriquest????

I wouldn't be to sure about Ameriquest. We have a mortgage with Ocwen and are, for a second time being foreclosed on by Ocwen or should I say Ameriquest Mortgage Co, after all Ameriquest is on our foreclosure papers from the lawyers and the court house. Ameriquest sold us to Ocwen a few years ago and we have had trouble ever since. No one, Ocwen nor Ameriquest can explain why when Ocwen has owned us for over two years that Ameriquest, is for the second time, listed on the court docs as the foreclosing company. So my advice is if you choose them be very careful. Maybe check who they deal with and how many loans they actually service themselves as to how many they sell. You could very well get sold right back to Evil Ocwen and still be foreclosed on by Ameriquest/Ocwen......

There is Help In chapter 13

There were someone who referred this organization to me and I wish to pass this on to you.

contact:NACA.COM find the phone number and address for your area and call them as soon as possible. They will refinance if you have an interest rate over 10%. If you do not have an interest rate over 10%, check with Ameriquest. If your Chapter 13 do not show up on your credit report, they will help you.

Good luck,

Gal from Texas
