Complaint Review: OCWEN FSB

I own a property in Spring Texas. My credit showed an outstanding debt from Ocwen FSB - the mortgae holder. I called them in March 2003 to find out what was owed to be current. I proceeded to pay the amount.

Later that month, in refinancing my home in California- I find out Ocwen never applied the payment to the account and was holding it. A women, Renee Hensley- who in reading internet traffic is quite famous for her stunts- said my home was in foreclsoure and I was 3 months behind. If I paid 3000 in 2 hours she could stop the foreclosure. I only owe 2200 for the month to begin with.

They are pushing for foreclosure anyway. received notice of the debt and replied that it was incorrect. No response.

I then got notice saying fill out this financial paperwork and get on a newer payment plan. I said I will try it there way. I was informed great your are approved for a new payment plan.

I said what are the details, She said I can not tell you and it will cost 200 4 to see the info. I said OK.
2 hours later I receive a fax that says pay 6000 by 20'th May and you will be reinstated. It also had outrageous figures for what was owed 33,000. I said where did this come from, she stated it was what was owed. She also told me to sign and return that day or it is no longer valid. I said I have to take this to my wife. She said that is not necessary, just sign and send back or else.
I told her I would look it over and talk to my wife.
They proceeded to send back my payments and push for foreclosure.

The foreclosure attorney called and I told her the story and she said do I have anything in writting form Ocwen stating the amount owed on March 30. I said it was only a conversation. she said I was out of luck.

I do not know if my refinace will go through in time but I will tell you this I will never do business with these people again.
