I had applied for a modification was denied. After that they sent me added cost in my mortgage payments.I always paid my own taxes and insurance. I never had escrow included in my mortgage. They called citizens insurance company a week after I was denied the modification and told them it was approved. I had been paying my own insurance. They have defaulted my loan saying I owe them escrow and late charges. I am rasing a 6yr old child. I am a widow and senoir citizen. I am very upset and need to talk to some one about what ias happening. I dont know how to resolve this as I have done nothing wong.I hope you can help me or somebody will take on this company.   Thanks   Barbara J Khowais New Port Richey, Florida 34654

Ocwen has an "F" Rating with the BBB...Numerous Complaints Filed Against Them

#2General Comment

Wed, October 31, 2012

Hello Ma'am.

Sorry to hear about what's going on with Ocwen. Go to the BBB of Central Florida (just google it) and put in Ocwen's name and you will see that it has almost 1,000 unanswered complaints filed against them and for the complaints that were answered most were simply a form letter.

This is what you should do. Go to the CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) website and file a complaint. They make it extremely easy to do. Takes a few minutes. It is the organization created by President Obama and it has a lot of power. What they do is contact Ocwen to try and mediate the dispute.

Also, contact the BBB of Central Florida and file a complaint with them. Again it is extremely easy and only takes a few minutes. Last go to both the Attorney General's website in your state and in the State of Florida and file a complaint. In all that is four complaints.

All of these organizations will contact Ocwen and try to resolve your dispute for you.

I wish you the best.
