Ocwen Loan Servicing , Ocwen Financial A Nightmare Orlando Florida
In August 2006 my Mortgage was transfered to Ocwen Bank. Almost from day one Ocwen has been posting late charges for payments that I made on time. My payments are due on the 1st of each month with a 15 day grace. In one instance they sent me a letter for insufficient funds on an automatic debit. Ocwen was suppose to ACH a payment of $1020. Instead they debited $1123. Ocwen, without authorization added hazard insurance charges and a home warranty service.
I'm in the tank for $3000 and I never missed a payment. I am getting default letters weekly but conversly Ocwen has never refused a payment. When I call Ocwen all I get is lip service from someone that doesn't understand english. On 1/23/08 I sent Ocwen a certified letter (return receipt)disputing the late charges together with a request for validation of the debt. I Received the return receipt un-signed.
Here is the kicker!! My home owners insurance and property taxes are escrowed. I received a notice from the city that my 2007 property taxes are delinqent in the amount of $1600. A 1098 that I received from Ocwen stated that they paid $1722 in 2007 taxes from Escrow. Not only did they not pay my taxes , the 1098 stated they paid more taxes than was due. I would certainly apreciate a referral to a competant attorney to help me solve this problem.

On 2/06/2008 I sent Ocwen a payment of $1060.00.On 2/09/2008. I spoke with a US representative ( Rob) from Ocwen about a loan modification. After taking my financials and talking to management the representative told me that I was approved for a discounted loan modification.Rob told me that he would be emailing the papework and stated that Ocwen would use the $1060 that I had sent in via Western Union as the down payment.
I would then be required to send a payment of $636.12 on 4/1/2008 and again on 5/1/2008. After that I would be on a new plan with a fixed rate at 6%. On 2/18/2008 much to my suprise I did receive the paperwork via email as explained. I filled it out and sent it back. NOW!!! here we go!! I called Ocwen and talked, this time, to an Indian Rep to find out why the $1060 was not posted. The Indian rep told me that Ocwen reversed the payment because it was 11 cents short. I went to Western Union and re-transmitted the payment of 1060.11.
Ocwen received the payment. I thought I was good to go!!. I sent the 4/1/2008 payment on 3/6/2008 via Western Union. Guess what.. It hasn't been posted. Three calls and no one can tell me about the April payment I sent in early. I asked to call the Cashier department but the Ocwen rep would not give me a direct number. Manwhile late fees are still acureing. HELP!!!
