I have been a costumer of Ocwen for about a year and the service has been unbelievably unfair and dishonest. I was told I was late on my payments and have paid them up to date to my knowledge. A couple of weeks ago I was told by costumer services that I needed to send a specific amount, which I have done. Today I received another phone call and a certified letter stating I owed another amount(each one had three different amounts) and have threatened to repossess my home. The rep broke down what I was paying for, which is an enormous amount of interest, optional insurance, escrow (which I do NOT have) and misc. I asked for an explanation of what the misc was, here is the kicker... I was told I was so far behind in my payments a "drive-by appraisal" was done of my home and I am being charged for it.I asked if this was legal and was told that the company does this when one is deliquent. I was on the phone for appx 45 min, I asked to speak with a supervisor who then hung up on me after waiting 10 more minutes,without even speaking to me. I am not able to refinance due to the supposed amount I owe and which has been reported.If anyone can offer any advice/input it would be appreciated.
