We too have had trouble with OCWEN and would like to know more about the class action suite. We took out a second loan with City Mortgage who then sold the loan to OCWEN, and it's been all down hill from there.

Of course like everyone else we never recieved a coupon book, only a letter to let us know of the loan sale. The letter did not include an address to send payments to, and did state that we would be recieving a coupon book and more information reguarding our account. You can guess that this never happened.

At this time we were having a hard time finanially and did not push the issue. We did not send a payment and did not receive any information from OCWEN. We also became behind with our first mortgage company and had to finally file Chapter 13 in order to keep our home. The Chapter 13 lasped and we became behind again. We came within a week of forclosure on our home, but were able to catch up with the first mortgage.

Now we are back to work and trying to get caught up on everything, but OCWEN does not seem to want our money. They lose our checks, they will not call us back to make payment arangements, we cannot even get an address to mail a payment too. We are now able and willing to pay this debt, but OCWEN will simply not take our money. We had thought that is was our own problem until we found this web-site, now we know that is common pratice for OCWEN. We need help getting past this. I am not letting them take my house after all of this.

My mortgage was also sold or aquired by OCWEN in March 2002. I was informed in June 2002 with a letter stating that my mortgage would now be handled by OCWEN.

I was also informed that I would be recieving a payment book and an address to start sending payments. None of these have shown up. I have recieved letters from the lawyers Moss, Codilis, Strawiarski, Morris, Scheider & Prior, LLP. They sent a request for financial statement which I sent back a few days later.

After a month I received another one. I was working on refinancing with another company(Centex). All the paperwork was done and after spending $500 on an appraisel and misc. other stuff I was waiting on a call from the processor for my closing date. I got the call but not for closing, it was to say the underwriters would not approve it because my loan balance had gone up $7000 from when I first started the refinancing with Centex, which was in Aug.

Two months and $500 later I am still with OCWEN and find out they are in all this trouble. I recieved a pay-off statement on Nov 5th that was good until Nov 8th and was dated October 22nd.

The company I was trying to refinance with received the same statement. I found the Rip Off Report website when checking out a scam letter I had received. I fould the letter on the website and also saw that OCWEN was being sued in Conneticut.

Finding the holder of my mortgage was a real eye opener for me and has me trying once again to find another mortgage company. I don't care if I have to pay a higher interest rate for awhile. I just want to stay in my house and get away from this company.
