Best way to fight Ocwen and protect yourself! First contact your Atty General Office and file a complaint. Contact Trans Union, Experian and file a complaint about the amount of money Ocwen is demanding. Ocwen must answer in 30 days or be deleted from your credit report. If there is any IRS tax problems, contact the IRS too. Save all your documents. Yes, Ocwen wants to foreclose, so they can make $$$$! They want to sell your home, and don't want your mortgage payments for 15-30 years. That is just how I lost my home. I fell one month behind. No contact from Ocwen til I was three months late. I offered them two of the three months in mortgage payments. I received a letter from their lawyer to pay $4000. plus the late months or be foreclosed on! Next letter was pay $17,000.00 this was to force bankcruptcy. I found out that Ocwen only paid HUD $25,000. for the house in the first place. But Ocwen obtained a judgment (unserved) of $44,000. The house was not worth that, so we moved on. Ocwen shot themselves in the foot. Now it sits still half boarded (4years)Ocwen hasn't maintained the property at all! Yet Ocwen accused us of not maintaining the property in documents. I bet they are not paying the taxes or fire insurance either!

They have stolen my husband's retirement funds. They added two months of payments together in addition to ridiculous late fees.

Originally our mortgage was with New Century Mortgage, but was then sold to Ocwen without our knowledge. This is when the nightmares and the so-called late payments started. We paid 1 1/2 payments and when the next month came we were due for 2 1/2 payments. They then added outrageous late fees. They were trying to take our home in any way possible. They charged us over $11 thousand in payments and late fees and future dilemmas. Out of this $11 thousand, there were only two months of payments while the rest were supposed attorney and late fees and who knows what else.

They began making harassing phone calls, yet when we tried to reach them, we were kept on the line for sometimes up to 2 hours being constantly transferred. They ruined our credit by stating a foreclosure on our credit report even though we were never served papers. Before this happened they would constantly call to update their files and would ask if my husband had a retirement plan and if I knew how much it contained. They were planning on getting this money, and they succeeded ($11,000+). Now our monthly house payment is 500+ more a month cause they have us on a forbearance plan, which will be a year this Feb. Can anyone tell me what to do so we can keep our house? Please help my family. Also, when is the actual court date for the class action suit that Mr.Hanson has filed. Please HELP! Colorado

Lisa, the Hanson v Ocwen IS underway right now.

The judge seems to suffer from Procrastinators Syndrome, Ocwen, Moss, and Litton seem to suffer from CRS (Cant remember S__T) Syndrome and the Wheels of Justice seem to have ground to a dead stop! All the Kings Horses and all the Kings Men cannot seem to force Ocwen, et al into Discovery.

There has been one status conference already where little seemed to be accomplished. Still no class action certification or preliminary injunction has been granted. But, neither has been denied, either.

The whole case has taken on a surreal Twilight Zonish timbre. The whole thing hangs in a judicially created time warp where the laws of nature, physics and the land do not seem to apply. Suspended animation might be a good term; it lives, yet it does not move!

Join the suit if you have not already; all the information you need is on this site. Search these posts and read about a letter-writing campaign and an ad that have been put forward. Follow up on both if you are able, but be sure to write a letter to the judge.

And hope that the law gets a grip on itself soon!
