I would like to know if anyone else has any fake documentation sent to the IRS via Ocwen? I filed my 2000 taxes and included the information from Ocwens 1099 on my 1040. I was searching on my now foreclosed property. I noticed that after three years, Ocwen is now the owner. It took three years for Ocwen to change the information of the ownership. I also noticed that there is a $20,000. difference on the market value of the house, compaired to city records. Ocwen added the selling price of a neighbors house to the market value on the form 1099. The error amount is the same that shows on a "No Service" Judgement against us!

Is Ocwen being investigated by the IRS? If not they should be!

Anyone else have the same trouble as me? I know that Ocwen stated there was a Tax Lien on my property. That went to the Justice dept. since it was a IRS lien. I found out in 1999 that that IRS Tax Lien was Fake!

I had some trouble with a neighbor that worked for the city. Both Ocwen and the IRS blamed the city for the error.

Is anyone investigating Ocwen? Can someone update me on the class action law suit? Were any notices sent in the mail for the lawsuit? Should I contact the IRS again? thanks

Report to the IRS on monthly basis

Ocwen does not report interest to the IRS in too many instances, and don't pay your real estate taxes or undercalculate them to hurt you later.

I always report the interest to the IRS on regular basis, because Ocwen says they report it; but they are liers..remember?

Also, check the amount and status of your RE taxes yourself. Do not trust Ocwen. They are liers..remember? You always ITEMIZE using the long form. Not only that, you don't need the 1098 form to do your taxes. The IRS says we don't need it.

It's also good to check the validity of your Homeowner's Insurance with your Deparment of Insurance.

Many of us have lost our homes to Ocwen for trusting them. Follow these simple rules and OCWEN's people are liers...NEVER FORGET IT!

Contact The IRS Again - I Did

#3Consumer Suggestion

Pat,

Although my problem with OcRon is a little different, I did call the IRS on them. My mortgage was sold to OcRon 7 years ago by HUD. After they forced me to file bankruptcy because of their demand for the entire arrearage, they took my payments while fighting my bankruptcy for over a year.

After they finally agreed to the bankruptcy, for 2 years, I paid them my monthly payment and they received a hefty amount of the interest arrearage from the Trustee every month. But on my 1098s, they only showed the amount of interest from my "regular" payments.

After 2 years, I tried to refinance. But with the false legal and late fees they added on and their flase credit reporting, it made my mortgage almost double what it was. When they realized I was trying to get away from them, they offered me a forbearance agreement and my bankruptcy was dismissed. If I knew then what I know now, I would have paid the higher amount just to get away from them.

For 5 years, I only received "substitute" 1098s from them. It was actually in my favor to not itemize as my standard deductions were higher. But in 2000, I lost my youngest as a deduction and began to itemize again. I received another "substitute" Form 1098. Being on a forbearance plan, I noticed that they only reported my "regular" interest and didn't include the interest arrearage I was paying monthly caused by when my home was under HUD assignment.

I called the IRS, and they told me to add it in as undeclared interest I paid and to put in the name of the institution I paid. Not so surprisingly, the following year I received a REAL Form 1098 with the correct amount of interest paid. The same with last years interest.

I only found out about the Ocwen.com site at the end of last year when one of their Customer NON-Service people told me I could avoid my "lost" payments by paying online. When I went and checked out the site, I noticed that for the years I didn't itemize, they did NOT report any interest paid to the IRS. They didn't start reporting it until I began itemizing again.

So definitely, CALL THE IRS. I did when I found out, and they said they would investigate the matter. The more people that report them to the IRS, the more they will find a pattern of underestimating or not reporting income.

Good luck!
