OCWEN ripoff Dishonest Thieves Will not answer the phone, they make their own rules AFTER contract fraudulent ripoff business Palm Beach Florida
Recently we refinanced our loan. It was sold to Ocwen before our first payment was even due! First payment due on Oct. 1, 2001 but they started calling even at the beginning of Sept. at least 3 or 4 times a week, asking why is you payment late? It's not late, it's not even due! We paid our loan on time and still received phone calls saying that we were late, why were we late, etc. etc. We have dealt with this for 1 year.11 more months to go ;o)
The latest absolutely ridiculous thing they did:
I paid a payment thru their automated system using "supposedly" the same check number as I had used 6 months before. Therefore, their system couldnt handle that. We weren't notified until we received a threatening letter from their attorney threatening foreclosure and a fee of $90.00 to go along with it.
I promptly called them to see what was wrong. I was told that it had been " a computer malfunction" and the very nice man said he was sorry and would credit my account. That was 5 months ago. They have kept that $90.00 late charge on my account. I have called and talked to managers.
Finally some lady said she would pull the telephone conversation and magically they took the fee off of there. The last two months, I have tried making my payment by phone and I can NOT get through. The phone just rings and rings. I finally was able to get a hold of someone two days later and explained the situation. She said it wasn't true and hung up on me! I promptly called back and started over.
That person also did not care, took my bank account information and hung up. This company had been a nightmare. I thought I was all alone until I found this wonderful website that a friend shared. I would like to join in on the lawsuit of harrassment and overcharged fees!
Sincerely,
Terra
