ODESK Loaded with Scammers, and the company helps them rip you off! Internet
I looked around for a place to hire a programmer, what I found was Odesk. The first time I used them, I got a very reliable fellow, who did a fantastic job. The second time around after hiring THREE different programmers to write a simple script, I got ripped off... and Odesk was the culprit!
One programmers "work log" showed him checking his personal emails, and shopping on the web, both activities that Odesk decided were appropriate hours to be paid for. No programmer since the first one has ever performed anything at all, and Odesk took my money, after filing a complaint. I since have filed a grievance with my card issuer, and expect the money back, but BEWARE of this scam!
