Off Beat Services Door to Door Magazine Subscription Rip Off Sicklerville, New Jersey
On June 6, 2010, a young lady came to my door and asked if I'd be interested in buying a magazine subscription to help her get back on her feet. She had been involved in drugs and this company, Off Beat Services, was helping young women rebuild their lives.
I bought one magazine subscription. On the receipt it said to wait 90-120 days before the subscription begins. My daughter never received this magazine.
I've called at least 4 times and spoke with the receptionist, Liz. Carolyn finally returned my call, after I was told several times that she would call me, and said she's send me a check for $30 within 10 days. I never received that check. So, I called again. Carolyn said she'd now send me a money order for $30 within 10 days. I never received that either.
Today, March 3, 2011, I called Off Beat Services and their number is disconnected.
This is unfair to have these young ladies going door to door, posing as needy women, selling bogus magazine subscriptions. And it's unethical and unfair for Off Beat Services to collect money from consumers and not deliver on orders, or refunds.
