Office Depot, Inc. Abuse, discrimination and retaliation toward retail store employees Boca Raton Florida

Abuse, discrimination and retaliation by Office Depot management, enabled by Corporate executives, continues to mask perceived unlawful actions by Office Depot to enable ongoing measures to alienate rights of employees.

I was advised by a manager upon initial interview that "the customers at this store are very mean, demanding...they make our job very difficult."  This comment only empowered my positive customer service values and respect for others.  Ironically, the manager appeared to be referring to the team of managers....that "they make our job very difficult."

Having entered the world of Office Depot retail as a Customer Service rep/cashier, like all employees, I was required to cooperate with the perceived irrationally invasive ISCE program and spy-like maneuvers encouraged to enhance the company's profits.  Employees are often affected negatively, and even harmfully, by the selfish assertions of Office Depot management.

One manager repeatedly told us (upon our request for a break), "you had your break when you got this job", and she meant it!  Breaks were hard to come by, however lawful they are.  The level of disrespect, miscommunication, and unprofessional behavior by managers had, from the time I interviewed for a job with the south Florida retail store through the time I was forced to resign, been quite significant.

Due to lack of staffing and blatant management abuse and neglect, I was hurt on the job.  My rights to medical care under the laws of Workmans' Comp were denied by Office Depot Corporation in an attempt to cover-up for Office Depot's perceived negligent activities and other known violations.  I was informed that Office Depot has elected to unfairly deny responsibility for consequential injuries.  In addition, managers utilized ongoing increased discrimination, abuse, humiliation techniques and retaliation to make me want to leave the job.

Still without medical care for injuries caused by Office Depot negligence, however illegal it is to be treated this way, every day of my life is painful and disabling.

Many employees have been hurt, abused and humiliated by Office Depot's sharp-tongued, greedy management.  In fact, the GM where I worked stood in fornt of all employees at a store meeting one day declaring, life Office Depot Corporate, "I am motivated by money!"

Is this the way for Office Depot "to smooth the way for...Merger of Equals with...." another retail giant?  Is this the way for any employer to treat their employees?

Office Depot trains managers to be bullies

Office Depot's managers appear to be trained as active and passive aggressive bullies.  "Motivated by Money", the military-style-dictator-GM is encouraged by Corporate Greed.  The domino effect of the aggressive (bullying) behavior by select managers toward employees who present to work with moral customer service values, interferes significantly with values and otherwise fair treatment for all, including customers.  Customers often leave the store annoyed by the target on their backs, the intention of the ISCE program.

Nevertheless, managers often make total fools of themselves because of the target on their backs by the Corporate beast to produce, produce, produce...money, money, money.  For the sake of the injustice and mere immoral business practice that conveniently lingers among favored aggressors, ask technologists how certain employees make their commission.  Ask OSHA and the Labor Dept what they know about injustice, misconduct and immorality at Office Depot.  They don't know.
