Office Depot rebate ripoff lost Rebate Forms Wont Pay asked me to re-send then claimed time was up after they received the 2nd set Bellingham Washington

I bought an HP Pavilion computer at OD last March, and promptly filled out all of the rebate paperwork exactly as they requested, and sent all of the info they needed (original receipt, proof of purchase, form). After 8 weeks, I called to check the status, and was told to wait at least 8-10 weeks. Four weeks later, I called, and was told that they had no record of receiving anything from me. I did a check online, and was told the same thing and that I needed to re-send all of my paperwork to collect. I sent copies of everything that I had sent (which I made copies of before I sent the 1st time)

Six weeks later, I was told that they couldn't process the rebate because they need the originals. After going back and forth with various people at the corporate HQ and the rebate center, I was told that by now, too much time has passed and they're very sorry, but there's nothing they can do, in spite of the fact that they were the reason for the holdup.

I have some partial redemption in that I'm the Purchasing Manager for a medium sized manufacturing company and we spend....excuse me, USED TO spend about 3,000/month at OD.

I guess if it's worth losing nearly 36K per year to a corporate account so they can avoid sending me my rightful $150, then they deserve the bankruptcy that's waiting for them.
