Office Max ripoff Mailed rebate before deadline, received postcard stating invalid postmark date, asking me to send in proof that I mailed it on time and resubmit. Friend also received this regarding his rebate! Florida Florida
I bought a black leather manager chair from Office Max. The advertised rebate was $20.00. I sent the rebate in, before deadline, and approx. 2 months later received a postcard from them stating that they could not honor my request due to invalid postmark date.
The postcard asked me to resubmit my information and any validating information.
I was not aware that I should have sent this certified mail so that I would not get ripped off!
I have a friend who bought the same item, and received the same response.
I would not have purchased this item if I knew I would be cheated out of my rebate!
Can these companies get away with this?
