Complaint Review: Official Sports International

Official Sports International has monopolized the Professional Referee Jersey market for many years.  Their customer service and inventory control have always been INCREDIBLY POOR but their referee jerseys were top-notch.  When USSF mandated a new referee jersey style in 2016, Official Sports went to a new manufacturer in Honduras. 

These jerseys look great, but cost $48.95-$49.95 PLUS SNAIL-SLOW SHIPPING.  These jerseys are made from a fabric that is nearly impossible to clean. Perspiration, mud, food, etc. cause permanent stains that cannot be removed.  Cleaning the jersey in a conventional washer & dryer can damage the fabric, causing unsightly wrinking that cannot be removed.  Use of an iron ON THE LOWEST SETTING immediately burns the fabric and causes holes.  In other words, you are unlikely to get a year of use out of these jerseys.

When you call Official Sports to request a refund or exchange, they always have "some reason" why they cannot make an exchange.  They also make you pay shipping back and forth.  Their customer service staff is trained to be inflexible and unconcerned about customer service. 

There are at least three new manufacturers who retail a very similar referee jersey for $25-$26.  The only difference is that the right sleeve does not contain the circular logo "U.S. Soccer Federation Referee Program", due to a contrctual relationship with USSF.
