Complaint Review: offroadarmor.net

offroadarmor.net JD Offroad - Offroad Armor Took a $200 for deposit on a Jeep WJ Winch Bumper. Lied to me for over 2 months, never produced the bumper. Told me over 10 times he was going to deliver the bumper to my mechanic, each time, never showing up. I have text messages to prove it. JD, the Owner just keeps blowing me off, not returning text messages or phone calls. I've asked if I could drive down to his location and pick up the bumper, but he never allows me to do so. I've asked for a refund several times, but he keeps saying he will bring the bumper. I tried to get a refund through Paypal and it had gone beyond the time limit, so they could not refund the money. This guy has no followed through with one thing he said he would do. Falcon Colorado

I found an ad on Denver Craigslist for a Jeep WJ Winch Bumper for $500. I contacted the company - www.offroadarmor.net - and spoke with the owner "JD". He said he had sold the bumper in the ad but could make me another one if I would send him a $200 deposit via paypal. I did so immediately because he had the bumper I was looking for and it was a great price! JD said it would take him about a week to fabricate a new bumper for me.

After a week.......I called him. He said he needed another week. 2 weeks later, he still hadn't produced the bumper. After 9 weeks of trying to get my bumper I am resorting to legal action. During those 9 weeks "JD" told me on over 10 occassions he was going to deliver the bumper to my mechanic. Each time, he did not. He had excuses and lies for each occassion. He'd tell me he would deliver at 9-10am the next morning. When that did not happen, I called him and texted him. He would reply via text saying that he was going to leave in a couple of hours.

This response came at 1pm after he said he'd deliver at 9am. This happened over and over. He would not return phone calls. He would only return text messages if I threatened legal action or asked for a refund. I asked for a refund several times. He would then talk me into waiting a few more days because I really just wanted the bumper. After I gave up and asked for a refund, he lied and told me that paypal had already refunded my money. I had evidence from Paypal showing that they could NOT refund my money because it had gone beyond the time limit, etc.

I've been doing deals on craigslist since it was invented. This was the worst experience ever! I would never do business with person and will let everyone else know to stay away from offroadarmor.net
