Just wanted to know if Extended Overdraft fees on checking accounts are legal or not. Pyramiding was explained about Capital One, and the Extended Overdraft fees are fees charged on top of the Overdraft Fee if you don't pay it within 5 business days. Of course, it takes at least 1-3 business days to receive a notice and if you don't own a computer, have access to the internet, or you just wait for your monthly statement, it is too late and you will be charged another Extended Overdraft Fee.

I am an employee there and I've been given hell for refunding customers' fees. I know which customers do not balance their checkbooks or do these things quite often and take advantage of it and without applying for an Overdraft Protection Plan, however the rule doesn't apply if the person that needs an overdraft removed is in "friendly" terms with a VP or upper manager.
This is called discrimination in my book. How can an independent audit find this out? And of course, is this legal? Ethical? By any means that I know the answer to. NO!

I wish to remain confidential until further notice. For more insider information, Rip-Off Report can contact me via email.
