Dr. Ed Hills serving as the sole determiner of competency for the Ohio dental board when I was looked at years ago has been indicted for the morally corrupt person he obviously has been.  I was shown several violations of  the practice act  including such things as not taking medical historys ( which among most of the allegations was totally false)  a few were subjective opinions at best and I believe well within the standard of care.  The charges were mainly related to providing orthdontic services to patients as a general practioner.  When I called the attorney generals office of the state of Ohio they told me if I didn't accept these charges and went to court if any of the charges would stick I would lose my liscence to practice.  After a horrible period of anxiety  and expense I decided to fold and accept a consent agreement.  I am  now on the national registry of dentists in violation of standard of care for orthodontics.  I haven't said anything till now because I feared repurcussions when I was still practicing.  I feel I was blackmailed into submission of a judgement by one person  Ed Hills who recently has been exposed to be morally corrupt. Since that time I participated in changing the law for the dental board to at least having two persons decide which doctors to bring before a vote of the board.  My biggest  concern is how this tarnished my name.  I also lost about 150,000 in revenue per year by not doing any more orthodontics.  Who knows how much I lost from my name being tarnished.
