The Lincoln City store refused to honor a recently expired coupon.  I was told that my $8.00 off coupon was expired and that they would not accept expired coupons.  I understood and paid for the oil change.  When I got home I saw on line that the very same coupon  $8.00 off was being currently being offered.  http://www.oilcanhenry.com/0609-google-newport.html?gclid=CO2dt9vXo5wCFRkpawodem44jA  I wrote a note to the customer service department explaining how the Lincoln City store refused my coupon while offering the same coupon on line.

The Lincoln City service facility called me this morning, and basically told me that his crew was following his instructions in not to accepting expired coupons. I would understand except the very same coupon was posted on your web site.  The Oil Can Henry's representative told me that it's his stores policy not to accept out of date coupons period.  What poor customer service.  Since Oil Can Henry's choose not to accept the coupon I will choose to have my vehicles serviced elsewhere in the future.

Oil Can Henry's just doesn't care.  OCH permanently lost a $500+ per year customer over $8.

"The Lincoln City store refused to honor a recently expired coupon."

This seems to be a no-brainer.  Just grab a dictionary and look up the meaning of "expired".

The fact that they had a different coupon available that wasn't expired does not mean that your coupon magically becomes unexpired.

A local store here offers coupons for $5 off a $20 sale.  These coupons expire monthly.  Most of the time, they send me a new coupon around the time the old one expires.   That does not mean that my old expired coupon is also valid.

This is not poor customer service.  It's more like poor customer preparation.  I wouldn't expect to be able to walk into a store, hand them an expired coupon and get a discount.   The fact that you didn't know there was a new coupon online until after you got home is not their fault.
