A man came to my 92 yr old mother-in-law's door recently. Purpose of visit:
magazine sales. Pink receipt (from OK Marketing of Kittredge, CO) looked authentic with receipt # stamped on it, etc. However, it had no date of sale and no signature of person selling magazine subscription to Women's Day .. 17 issues and charge was $48 plus process/handling of $15 making total of $63. He accepted $50 in cash from her as that was all she had and he left. His handwriting was difficult to read as he had her incorrect address, misspelled our town's name and wrote down her wrong phone number on the receipt.

Receipt states on back that if individual wants to cancel subscription and receive a refund, they must fill out back of receipt and return it with a postmark no later than three days from the original date of sale, including Saturday. This would be impossible as there is no date written on front of the receipt. I feel she was taken unfair advantage of as she is hard or hearing and has memory problems.

I feel she has been victimized and will never receive the product she paid way too much for. Let this be a warning to unsuspecting seniors .. beware of those who come to your door selling anything. It is best to buy from your local town youth who participate in legitimate school fundraisers.
