Complaint Review: Old Bike Barn

Old Bike Barn Ordered a clutch cable and oil filter for a 1979 Suzuki GS750 11 June 2010. On 23 June part still had not been delivered. I called the number on the site and got a recording to do everythjing online. PlattsburghInternet, New York

I ordered a clutch cable and oil filter for a 1979 Suzuki GS750 from Old Bike Barn.com The parts were suppose to be in stock. 12 days later still no parts. I called the number on the sales order which gives you a recording, but will not allow you to talk to anyone. The recording instructs you to go to the web site to get in touch by email with someone. The web site did not let my email to go through after numerous attempts. I called the phone company to see if there was any other numbers to this business. The address given on the sales order has two businesses at it's location. Neither one was the Old Bike Barn. I called the people at one of the businesses who told me The owner of the Old Bike Barn had fled the country to Canada. They have also been trying to reach him by some phone numbers he gave them, with no luck. He still owes them money for back rent and left his inventory in their building. I called my credit card company who said the transaction had gone through. Luckily they took care of refunding the money.

The moral of the story is don't do business with Old Bike Barn.
