My associates and I collectivelly purchased $8,000.00 worth of silver bullion from a representative of Old Glory Mint which included .70 cents above spot price per ounce for Mint's profit.  We were told a deliver date would be between 2 or 3 weeks.  After several, reasons given (equipment breakage, several received orders slowed our production, etc.) we were told we would receive our order on July 9th.  On the 9th, we were told Wayne (the rep) would hand deliver our order if we met him in Farmington on the 12th of July, which we agreed to.  On the 11th of July we received an e-mail telling us that our order would not be filled, due to exhausted resources, and also because the company's assets had been frozen due to a Ponzi scheme of a parent company, National Note of Utah.  The e-mail also gave contact information of an attorney office who had been appointed as a Receiver for National Note of Utah.  After contacting this attorney (Klein and Associates), we were told that the Mint was still able to operate and could receive new orders for silver bullion, but we would not be able to receive our order or our money back, since all assets were effectively frozen.  Supposedly this was by the order of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). We would have to file claims before July 20th, and wait months (possibly years) to see if we ever received any recompense.  We feel we have been ripped off, and may possibly never see a dime  out of this questionable practice/remedy.
