Complaint Review: Old Republic Home Protection

My husband and I purchased our first home in August of 2012. At the time I was extremely happy until January 2013. That is when me heater went out it is now March 21, 2013 and we are still having to heat our home off of emergency heat only. Having to deal with Old Republic has only stressed me. If you are looking to have your work done in a timely manner DO NOT deal with Old Republic Home Protection Co., INC. After having to deal with several cold nights trying to keep my electric bill around average a representative told me that the only thing they could do to assist me if I did not want to continue to wait
for their company to fix my heater is pay me $325 dollars towards the cost of the repair. Of course no other company will do the work that cheap so I am wait till March 26, 2013 which is the earliest appointment I could get to have Old Republic
Home Protection Co., INC contractors come out yet again. I was also told by the representative that they could not guarantee that the company would fix my heat on that date. So I guess it will be summer before my heater works correctly. I am just glad my two children have not gotten really sick throughout this process.
