Complaint Review: Old Republic Home Warranty

My parents spent 4 agonizing weeks this last summer waiting on Old Republic Home Protection's AAA contractor Glenair , Lake Elsinore California. Three different trips to the home by what appeared to be untrained personnel providing misdiagnosis each time. No return phone calls, appearing on their own non scheduled visits to the home. The final solution was we were authorized to hire our own outside contractor. It was unbelievable a simple quick repair the serviceman was gone n the matter of minutes, some sort of kapacitor thingy.

Old Republic assured both my wife and I Glenair was not a part of thier contractor team.

LIP SERVICE IS ALL IT WAS!!!!!

January 2006, no heat........ Guess who gets assigned our service call? GLENAIR !

A bunch of bumbling b***s, almost 4 weeks to the day waiting for parts. We did not bring up last summer we just wanted the heater fixed for the folks. So what happens, parts are back ordered were told, our service technician for that area is sick today. The final last straw was we sat and waited all day . Not a single phone call and every time we called Glenair we got a fancy voice mail system that made them sound like a large company.

So this is the last straw we've called out the compnay that bailed Glenair out last summer. I don't even want to listen to the LIP SERVICE from Old Republic. Our plan is up for renewal and there is no way !

I've read on several places on the web some rebuttals from Gary. If Gary was really sincere I would not be here writing this complaint.

Companies like this would be given the boot ?
