My electric in my house went out last night at nine o'clock. I am sick and my wife is pregnant.  We have no electric to run our heater, refridgerator, lights, tv anything but three wall jacks are working.

I signed up for Electric service to come out immediately but the company that was referred by Old Republic Home Warranty had no availability until Monday (today is Thursday).

I called Old Republic to provide me with another electrician however they said they can not send anyone else. I told them that it was 42 degrees in my house and I am sick, my wife is pregnant and our food is rotting. They told me that it is NOT their policy to send anyone out unless it is less than 40 degrees in my house. They said they will NOT send anyone out at all or refer me to another electrician.  I even asked if they had other electricians available and they said "yes, but will not call any other firm, that I have to go with the electrician that provides the service 5 days from now or they will not pay for the service."

I have never felt so wrongly treated before from a company that was paid $500 for this warranty. I am absolutely disgusted and insulted by this firm.  Obviously I have to get somebody to come today to fix it since even my doctor wont allow us to sleep in a house this cold.
