Olde Brooklyn Lantern Lied, Cheated, Distorted Information, Poor Quality Van Nuys, California
I ordered from Olde Brooklyn Lantern while watching the ad on TV like others; I was not told the price until I gave my credit card number, and then was overcharged for the second unit which is suppose to be free if you pay the shipping; in fact with New England weather, I order two basic units with the second ones suppose to be free.
I was also told I would not be charged until the products had actually shipped, and I was charged the same evening.
I called and protested and like others, could not understand the person on the end of phone who kept insisting I had ordered the higher "copper" level, with the "free ones" being of cheap chrome - I definitely did not, but nor did they honor my request like an Amazon or other legitimate sites, send me a receipt electronically.
Time went on and I kept calling only to be told that since I had a PO Box, FedX was going to deliver to the Post Office in my hometown. I specifically asked when ordering if they needed my street address versus PO Box and was glibly assured it would arrived very soon - the shipment finally arrived 28 days to my PO Box after being assured several times it would be ten (10) days.
I was charged $75.92 when the bill, per their TV ad and voluminous Internet advertising, should have been $56.00 - I hope some legal entity is going after them but cannot tell - I put out an e-mail blast toi over 9,000 (no joke) people telling them not to even try and ordering. By the way, cvs pharmacies are carrying these in some states for $12.99 which is what the advertised price was on TV.
Am I mad? d**n right!
