Complaint Review: Oli Fischer

I have ordered products a couple of times from this company, because they were appealing to have, e.g., thin preparedness blankets, magnesium fire starters...and that's fine.  The problem is that, especially with Oli Fischer, you must go through several extra offers or trial offers in order to order the product. 

On one occasion recently, I did decide to try a trial run at an online newsletter. Well, uninterested afterward, I cancelled in plenty of time, yet they continued to charge my credit card. I contacted them via internet and received an auto-responder.  I didn't hear back from them after that and sent them another email.  Finally, the newsletter was cancelled but I wasn't refunded.

So, I opened an online dispute with my credit card.  NOW GET THIS.  I was refunded by the credit card company. THEN, about a week later, the company called and asked me to please cancel the credit card dispute and they would personally refund me.  I actually believed her and did.  I feel foolish now, but didn't realize it was a scam.  She sounded American.  After about two weeks, they hadn't refunded my credit card. So, I called the credit card company and explained the problem and they were kind enough to refund the money, and told me they generally advise people not to cancel a dispute UNTIL a vendor has indeed refunded the money.  Lesson learned!!
