Ollies Auto Parts is an agent of D&J Auto Parts, Richmond Indiana, which has four complaints on this site and 58 complaints with the Central Indiana BBB over the past three years. D&J takes orders for auto parts and farms them out to junkyards around the country. It was our misfortune to have a part shipped from Ollies.

We ordered a car radio, giving a specific part number, through D&J, on December 1, 2006. They sent the order to Ollies, which sent the wrong radio, (cost $120). We sent the radio back the next day (December 5, 2006), unfortunately without delivery confirmation. However,we called Ollies a few days after we mailed the radio back, and they confirmed receipt. They said the refund would have to come through D&J.

We called D&J, which said they would credit our credit card. Of course, no credit was ever issued. We complained to Bank of America VISA, which contacted D&J, which said the part was never returned. VISA aid it was their word against ours, and that they would have to believe an outfit with numerous complaints vs. their long-time customers. We called Ollies to reconfirm they had received the radio.

Now, according to them, it was impossible to track, unless we had an invoice nubmer from D&J. Sounds like Catch-22, doesn't it? We called/wrote again to D&J, which made their usual promises, saying they would give us the invoice number, but of course they never did. Looks as if D&J and Ollies are in it together.

BEWARE ordering a part over the internet from either of these outfits!
