The following is an account of our move with Olympian.  September 29, 2010 Confirmed move date of Oct 1, 2010 with Gary. He stated movers would be at house FL between 8:00 - 9:00 AM.  Move should take 10-13 hours.  October 1, 10:00 AM movers had not arrived called Gary and questioned whereabouts. He returned my called said there was a mix up in dispatch, truck would be there about noon.  My daughter came to old house to give me a ride to new house (my husband and I have only one car) we left around 11;00 since the movers were due in an hour. Later, my husband told me the movers would not be there to pack up until around 3:00 pm, and later told me the entire move that day was cancelled. I called Gary four times and he did not return my calls. I spoke to dispatch, someone would be at the house before 8:00 AM on Saturday.  My daughter had left and now I was left to spend the night in a totally empty house, with no food or furniture. I slept on a towel on a ceramic floor. The house is not located in walking distance to anything.  Saturday October 2, 2010 The movers arrived at 10:30 AM.not 8 AM. We had 3 movers that was quoted for four men. The truck they had was not big enough for the move, furniture had to be left at the old house. The movers said they would return on Sunday and pick up the rest of the furniture and deliver it on Sunday.  They did not arrive at the house to unload until around 11:00 PM Saturday night. They finished at 3AM I was promised Professional workers. The professional movers were yelling to each other outside at midnight. While packing, one mover was walking around with a lampshade on his head. Some of our other items were not as fortunate, a total list of the damage is at the end of this letter.  My husband and myself were moving boxes, to get them in the correct rooms. My husband recently had back surgery, this is not something he should be doing at all. Aside from the stress that this has put both of us though, it has put him in severe pain. Furniture that was two pieces, ex: china hutch and base, was not screwed back together, they just put the top piece on. Some furniture was left in the shrink wrap.

Sunday October 3  called Gary this morning. He assured me that the rest of my furniture will get here. But not on Sunday. The electric at the old house will be turned off Monday so they can not get in by using the garage door opener. He told me that he is going to work on this and either he, or the company owner will get in touch with us and the furniture will probably be coming on Thursday. He said a mover from Jacksonville will pick up the key late tonight. I put the key in an envelope on the door.

Monday October 4  I called Gary, because the key was still taped to the door. He has told me that he is going to ride here himself and pick up the key. The reason that they didnt pick up the key was that it was too late.

Tuesday, October 5, , Gary did come to the house and get the key.

October 7,  Waited until 2pm,  called the dispatch office as to when the furniture was going to be delivered. I called and left 3 messages and was finally called back by Mike. He told me that the furniture would not be delivered today because well, by the time we got the key and got it here, and they load up the truck in Ocala, so the furniture would not be able to be delivered until at best, Friday afternoon maybe around 3 pm or so.

October 8,  My husband took a ride back to the old house to see, if in fact, the furniture had been picked up. Everything had been placed in the garage that they were to take. As of this date there is still our golf cart, bookshelves to our bookcase, and the start key for our treadmill at the house. My husband tried to load the golf cart onto the truck alone, but with his back it was impossible for him to do. At 2pm, I called dispatch for the second time and asked the whereabouts of my furniture and if it was going to be delivered today. I was told that they would have to do some research and would get back to me. Mike called at 2:30 and told me that they left the golf cart at the house and now they would have to coordinate the move of the golf cart and the rest of the furniture, even though they would be coming on two different trucks. He told me the best they could do would be to have delivery on Monday. I told him their best was crap! Obviously they never intended to deliver today since when I called in the afternoon, an hour before expected delivery, the furniture was not on its way.   My husband, Kelly, called Gary, and was told that he would contact the office and get right back to him. Gary did not call back that day.

October 11,  Called dispatch around 9:30 AM, they said that furniture was to be delivered today between 3 and 5 pm. Someone would call about an hour before they arrived. 4:30 pm, no phone call, called dispatch and got voice mail, then called office at 407 879 0723, spoke with woman who contacted Operations and said furniture is on the way here. The furniture finally did arrive about 6:30 pm.  I have so much damage to my things, some pieces are totally destroyed.  For a move that had a travel time of two hours and a quote for the move to be completed in 10 to 13 hours, this move took 11 days, and more than several thousand dollars in damages. They literally ripped the top off of a corner desk section. It was originally a three piece desk set, this piece is not repairable. Your mover stated that it couldnt be fixed and even if it could none of the hardware was there. When we first met with Gary, he stated that this company caters to the more upscale customer. This was one of the reasons that we chose Olympian. We thought they would be more careful, and knew how to protect my items. After this experience, I just think you like to break more expensive things.  This move went far above and beyond the normal dings and scratches of moving. When people literally pull tops off of furniture, that comes from not knowing what you are doing and not caring.

October 14, 2010

Moving Dolly, Ryan from your company stated that they knew they had Kellys dolly and they were going to drop it off after a move in Jacksonville. It has not been returned yet.

October 17, 2010

A 6 foot room divider has a tear in it. We took another ride back to the old house, only to find that your truck had emptied all of their box garbage in our front yard. We were able to get our old trash company to pick it up. If we are billed for this, we are sending the bill to you.

October 19, 2010

We are sending the claim form in. I find it deplorable that with all the problems and carelessness in this move, not one person has gotten back to us from the company to try and resolve these damages.

October 29, 2010 Was offered $810.00 for the horrible move, all the time it took, and all the damage they caused.  What I wrote in absolutely factual, I wrote it as the events happned as to not forget or "get something wrong".  I certainly didnt have to make anything up, they did enough "bad" all by themselves.  It was stressful, horrible and truly a nightmare.  I dont think the generous offer is fair at all!
