We were attempting to refinance our mortgage because our rate is very high with Olympus. When we asked for a payoff, they took 1 month to get the payoff to us (causing our lock-in on our rate to expire) and it included a prepayment penalty of over $5500, which should not have been there. I have argued with them regarding this for over 10 months. I was told that in order to avoid the prepayment penalty, I had to fax them my mortgage and note. I faxed them my mortgage, but do not have a copy of my note. The mortgage does not mention a prepayment penalty. I ordered a copy of my note 4 months ago from them and have been charged for the note but have not received my copy to fax back to them to prove that I do not have a prepayment penalty.

Every month our payment is late because they mishandle it, causing us to incur late payment fees. Our payment is due on the first, but no late fee is charged until the 15th. If we send the payment in on the 6th it is late.

Also, if the payment is not in on the 1st, Olympus begins to call at the house and at my husband's work. My husband has explicitly told them NUMEROUS times to stop calling him at work, but they do not listen.

I am an attorney and am going to file suit against them for negligence and violations of the Uniform Debt Collection Act and whatever else I can think of.
