The Company seems nice when you are doing the preliminary business in trying to get a good company at a reasonable price to move. **Speacially when you are on a budget** The company will quote you one budget friendly price and then they will rip you off at delivery. They will not unload the trucks until you pay them and if you cannot pay the outrageous amount they charge you at the end, they will keep your things and you wil have to pay extra for storage fees.

I used their services on 18Jan moving from a two BDR appartment to a town house. I payed for 3 men yet they send 2 in good health and 1 who was hurt the day prior during another move. They quoted me for $69 an hour at a 5hr estimated move time and $69 for 1 trip. $414.00 in total for the quote. Which I forsaw them taking a lil longer than 5hrs so I planned and was prepared to pay for 7hrs which was the amount of time it took when I moved into the appartment. I estimated about an $800.00 bill at the end, maybe closer to $1000.00. I had everything packed except the big furniture stuff.

I insisted they used the blankets the movers use to cover furniture and I expected them to use some boxes for the dinning room chairs. The gentleman that had been injured the day prior insisted to use some bubble wrap to protect my fish tanks and china "hutches" but I told him not to since I thought the blankets would be sufficient enough. He kept insisting and I said ok, cover the glass part of the hutches and the fish tanks but that is it. (Little did I know that it would come back to bite me in the rear!)

I made the appointment for the movers to arrive at my appartment between 8-9am so that I could be at the town home by 12noon to have my light & gas restored. Well, they did not arrive until 9:15am, began packing/loading at 9:30, stopped to eat and I had to stay with them because they needed to follow me to the town house; in the end, I missed the energy guy and was without light or heat for four whole days!

To make matters worse, when we arrived at the town house I was presented with a $1900.00 bill!!! I almost fainted and began to cry because I did not have that kind of money at the time! I had a total of $1300.00 on me! They charged me ~$676.00 in bubble wrap and ~$235.00 in tape used!!! (Mind you I had everything packed except the big furniture stuff.)

Ok, not only did I have to pay them a reduced amount $1500.00 after begging and pleading with the manager; they did not put together my bedroom sets which they disasembled. They broke a small bookshelf and left in thrown in the front yard. They left most of all the boxes and bins on the 1st floor. I had to carry some of the boxes to the 3rd floor because they refused to take them up to where they belonged, my room! I had to take the bins down to the basement and stack them myself, threw my back doing so! They practically left my place in disarray!!!

I know the saying says: "You get what you pay for" but I felt taken advantage of, blindsided and robbed!!!

DO NOT USE OMEGA VAN LINES!!!! It is a recreation of Wings Vans Lines, which screwed me and many others (read any of the many forums). Wings Van Lines stole over $50,000 worth of my stuff when they suddenly just went out of business while I was in the middle of a move from FL to NY. It's like the company just disappeared. Then one day when I went to their web site (www.wingsvanlines.com), it immediately transferred me to to www.omegavanlines.com.

After doing some thorough research on the Florida Depart of State Corporations web site, I found out that guys have had multiple moving companies over the past 5 years (Wings Delivery, Moving Van Lines, Wings Van Lines, and their newest venture OMEGA VAN LINES). These corporations have been incorporated in many states including Florida, New Jersey, and New York (from what I found), with the same group of people acting as officers of the corporation. But don't take my word for it, check it out yourself, it's all public record ands it's free to access!!!

Unfortunately the links to the web site are very long and I cannot paste them on this forum. However if you go to the website below Florida Department of State Division of Corporation and search for "Wings van lines" and "Omega Van lines" that the officers, place of business (which the police say is abandoned), and registered agent are all the same:

I have already filed a report with the FBI, Hollywood Police, Broward County Sheriffs Office, NJ State Police, the New York State Police, the Dept of Transportation, and the Better Business Bureau. So far I have not yet heard anything back from any of them. However, I do want to pursue civil lawsuit and possibly a class action lawsuit against these people.[u]
