Omni Business Solutions, Jeremy Cobb, Vanuity, Summit, Omni Business Solutions Ripping of clients and letting go employees for unjust reasons. St. George Utah

I at one point in my life was a mentor/coach for this company. I was around to see it flourish, and I was around to see it start to fall. They've lost a lead, causing the company to un-employ over half of their coaches. They went from having about 40 employees down to about 15.

Toward the end of my position there, the President of the company began to let people go for the most useless reasons. One being that an individual who was using MSN Messenger called Mr. Cobb a curse word. Seeking revenge and jeoprodization of yet another precious lead Mr. Cobb terminated this individual's employment, leaving him unemployed with an expecting wife due in about 3 month's time.

Mr. Cobb seemed like a respectable businessman. He never said much to any of his employees. He never took the time to know who we were until we did something not of his liking and then there were no second changes.

Mr. Cobb let me go over an argument again in MSN. I believe Mr. Cobb has no interest in the lives of his employees and therefore if he doesn't care about his mentors then why would he care about his clients?

I could elaborate further into this matter, however, I chose to remain anonomyous. I can tell you that if you are a client, please be careful to fully investigate this business. Please know that up to 2008 the coaches/mentors there are not certified and are not trained at the level in which one would expect for $500.00 per session.

Please know that as a mentor/coach, we spent a lot of over-time at Omni which was not accounted for in our checks so we as individual coaches at Omni did what we could to aid you with your website, however, if it is not done to your liking than that is a problem of your own as in you did not complete the assignments instructed by your coach and did not complete the lessons in your SEO Guide. If you're not happy with this company then don't complain about the company because chances are the company has done their half of the agreement, it is the sales floors in which are misleading.

Knowing Mr. Jeremy Cobb can let go staff members after a year of employment of a conversation not even with him in it (does he not have better things to address?), not pay them for countless over-time hours spent in the office, not pay them for the "upsales" - 300 Subs, etc... I would no way buy a mentoring program from this company. It's sad to see elderly individuals who do not simply know any better, and also single mothers, single fathers, etc. waste their money on such a company as this, however, you're the ones giving your Credit Card numbers to strangers over a telephone and that says what about who?

First things first, that report was done by an ex-employee of Omni Business Solutions, so it's a little biased. My name is Wesley and I have been working for Omni since its beginning. When you've worked for a company as long as I have you've seen a lot of good and bad employees come and go. Unfortunately, this ex-employee got her feelings hurt and instead of being a faithful and loyal employee of Omni in a time of need, she decided to post bad comments. Jeremy Cobb is a very good and dear friend of mine and he's done a lot for my family and other employees families, especially in time of need. The reason why he is gone all the time is because he's usually trying to find more work for us. And just like any other business, if you mess up enough you eventually have to talk to the big boss. My advice to any of those people, don't mess up. In our industry, we have to deal with a lot of different types of people from all over the world. Most of the people that we work with are looking for an easy way to make money from home. We provide a way for them to make money from home, but it goes under that theory that we can lead a horse to water but we can't make them drink. So not everybody makes it big for one reason or another. As an instructor, we try to help them understand search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, and anything else that could help them potentially make money on the internet. My advice for anybody who wants to make it big on the internet, is to remember the first rule of economics: there is no such thing as a free lunch. Like any other business, we have to work to be on top. For the rest of her report, I only have one comment. There's always two sides to every story and you shouldn't say bad things about your boss.

Ex-employee speaks out... positively!

#11UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sat, August 30, 2008

I am a former employee of Omni. To add contrast to this negative report I wanted to relate my own experience.

First of all, I was let go. I have every right to be angry at Omni's management for firing me. HOWEVER, I understand the reasons for my termination and their hiring and firing practices are fair. This is irrelevant for a ripoff report, but considering the report to which I am replying, it fits.

The following is my experience with the company and its SERVICES, as a ripoff report should be, in contrast to the original post:

For those who do not know, Omni Business Solutions is a company who trains individuals in building an internet website-based business. If you are reading this and considering a partnership with Omni to do just that, congratulations! Even those who have no prior internet experience CAN be taught to build and market a site. Do not let some reports discourage you. Ripoff report is the place for scams and schemes. Omni is nothing but. Omni's services are very helpful to clients. I trained individuals for nearly 2 years and had many satisfied comments as clients had met and exceeded their goals. Not everyone reaches the same level; however, your coach is very trained on how to make you meet the goals YOU set.

The individual filing this report mentioned that the employees were "untrained." This is absolutely untrue. No, I do not have certifications from outside companies that "prove" my ability to help a client succeed. The proof is in the satisfaction that the clients got from seeing a site built that works to make them money! Besides this fact, we were provided on-the-job training that was NOT easy.

And lastly, why am I making this report? Why do I care about a company who let me go? I feel that this company was the best company I have ever worked for, considering the experience I gained, the clients I helped, and have no hard feelings toward my termination.

Sincerely,

A Grateful Employee

PS: Any other company in the report other than Omni (i.e., Vanuity, Summit, the "sales floors" mentioned) should not have been mentioned in the original report as they are unrelated companies for whom employees of Omni, including the disgruntled, have no direct contact with and knowledge thereof. Therefore, they have not been included in my rebuttal.

I was employed as a mentor at Omni Business Solutions. What I said was cruel, vindictive, mean, and obscene. I have searched high and low to retract this report but cannot find an option to do so. I posted it when I found out I would never ever be eligible for rehire. I had a lot of passion for my clients, for the job, and believe it or not, for Jeremy Cobb as an employer and as a business owner of this company.

Jeremy kept me employed when I broke my leg and was hospitalized. Jeremy kept me employed through a lot of rocky bumps in my road so to see him let me go over a MSN comment was devastating and I took it too personal, and too hard.

I have seen a lot of great things come from Omni Business Solutions. I have an entire list of successful websites I've helped people to BUILD if any one would like to see it please email me crystalray@cox.net and I'd be happy to compile such a list.

I was a proud employee of Omni but discouraged when let go and as a result of that Jeremy has now unemployed my husband. I've now cost my own job termination, my spouses, and will now face foreclosure on my home unless I find a job this upcoming week, and my husband as well. What I said was slanderism. I committed an out and right crime and will probably face jail time for it.

I will look to retract this report. As for Vanuity, they were not even involved, therefore, this entire report needs to be taken down. Omni is a reputable business. Please see their testimonials page for proof of that and ask yourself if the good outweighs the bad... There aren't that many reports on RipOffReport. There are tons of testimonials.

Also, in addition to that, the company itself is an amazing atmosphere. They just moved into a brand new building to accommodate their growth, are launching new programs, new ideas, and new teaching methods for their program. Any disgruntled EMPLOYEE was probably let go for reasonable reasons. Any disgruntled CLIENT has only them self to blame as if one does what the lessons and the coaches/mentors recommend/require in the training program, the site will come out complete. They're there to instruct, not do the work for you.

I know I can never come back to Omni, but I had no reason to disrespect them in such a manner as I did. I know a lot of reputable individuals that work there, or have worked there in the past. I would recommend anyone in the St. George area with the ability to learn SEO and take on a challenge to apply, because it's an awesome company to work there. I also would recommend the training program. Why would I not recommend something I TAUGHT for one year and four months?

This complaint is not an answer to a ripoff or scam but more of an employer complaint that should be taken up with the proper authorities.

Crystal chose to negatively embellish on my management methods and disciplinary actions taken. Furthermore she has made misinformed claims and associations of companies that are in no way related to her termination of employment.

Unfortunately she has failed to mention that her husband is still a favored employee, she was rehired once before, and that I personally signed a referral that helped the couple move into a new home.

It is a fact of life and employment that the economy can and will dictate the nations workforce and when warranted staff members are laid-off. It is also a fact of life and employment that insubordination and idol threats are grounds for termination even outside of "at will employment" states like Utah.

Most terminated employees leave disgruntled and in this case it is the same. If slander, lies, embellishments and misinformation is her way of revenge so be it, but it cause fact and reason to stare. Where is the ripoff?

I am curios on how an employee continues to work for a company for over a year with no questions or concerns until after being caught for something that would cause a separation of employment why instead of taking responsibility for your own actions would you go out and trash talk a company you had no problem in committing a year of your life to?

If Omni was so bad why stay working with them for 12 months?

Neither Vanuity nor Summit have anything to do with your personal problems with your past employer and would appreciate it if you would keep your hurt feelings to yourself.
Summit Vanuity as well as Omni provide some absolutely amazing services to people around the world in many different areas and have done so for many years.

Understand that things do not always go the way we plan but blaming others or trash talking others will do nothing for you and your future!

Good luck to you in what you do!

All the best.

Vanuity
