Omni Financial is a big scam. A lot of paper work, phone calls, etc. oh and money. They tell you alot of success stories, and if you hire them," peace of mind and good nights sleep will once again enter your life". If you have a tax lien, talk to the IRS or state, they will work with you. I found out the hard way, after spending $1900.00 with this scam of a company.

They use big titiles, like Senior Associate and Production Manager. Its all bull

I ended up taking care of my own accounts with the IRS and State. In writing I requested for a refund: reason being they did not settel my tax problem, in fact, I was given wrong addivice that could of cost me much more in finances and head ach. Omni sent me a statement of professional services rendered.

Talk about a bunch of nothing! I have phone recordings from omni that were very rude, and all the paper work that ended up meaning nothing.

Please report them to your states attorney gen. office and local authorities.

I must tell you that this company is the most disgusting compnay on the planet. I know, I worked there. I will tell you this, as an employee we were told to con you out of every cent that you have, even tell you to put off paying house payments and feeding your children. Beg borrow and short of stealing. (an actual line given to us in closer training) If we were not able to do so in outragous numbers despite how many hours, including every single weekend, long days topped off with longer nights we were humiliated and then fired.
Dont want to answer our calls? we bully you on voice mails. Want to see our kids on a saturday? Larry tells you to pack your stuff. Your fired. Want to act in a reputal manner? your publically humilated for your decent acts and then fired. Want to be honest and do the right thing? You will be fired. There are no real human beings in management there. Lairs, and horrible people who train these other people to steal your money so that they can drive nice cars while you cant feed your kids.
run!

Well I was recently contacted by this company. I had them send me information to my email and when you read their agreements they are scary open ended for them to bill you with no guarantees. When I told them I the guy I was not interested he tried to argue and I hung up. He called me back and I asked him to lose my number and he called me a Jack@ss!

Now that to me proved I made the right choice!!!

The Proof Is In The Pudding

Izzzy states in his "Acurate Information" posting to, "Hire an ethical company to do the work. Omni is the most ethical company in the business." Really? Then why all of the postings on this site and others by ex-customers and ex-employees saying otherwise? Are all these people wrong? While you suggest that ex-employees of Omni may have an axe to grind by recommending that others review this site before signing up for Omni's services, I don't find any such agenda after reading their postings. I only see people telling the truth about their experiences with Omni, whether they were a customer or employee of the company. And their comments (as well as BBB complaints) certainly don't state or portray that Omni "...is the most ethical company in the business." Quite the opposite in fact. The proof is in the pudding. Stay away from doing business with this company at all costs.

First of all, if Omni were such a rip off, why didn't you check out the company before you went to work for it? As for being a client, we provide a list of references. Take the time to check them out. When you enter Omni as a client, the first thing you should realize is that there is a telemarketing person on the other end of the phone trying to understand your situation in a short period of time and bid a job as they understand it. When your associate takes over the file, the time spent to get the 'big picture' and find out exactly the facts of your case is a bit more involved than a telemarketing call.

As a long term employee, I have seen many 'lawyers' come and go over the years. I have taken case files from 'lawyers' who have completely 'screwed the pooch.'

I totally understand why there are complaints against particular associates at the company because they don't do the job they were hired to do, nor do they build any kind of relationship with their clientele in order to seek out the best resolution to the problem. Frankly, as associates they suck, and they don't last long because they forget an important part of their job. DO THE WORK REQUIRED.
Every tax resolution has a solution, and many of these 'lawyers' have been taught in law school that all they have to do is spin a line of bullshit and they have done their job.

Yes, there are always some form letters involved, proprietary information and procedures that we have developed over the years, just like the way a law firm works. And yes, the clientele pays for the priviledge of expertise and experience in this area. Our company asks us to account for our time every day, and the clientele files we work with. Our billing system actually creates a record of accountability and shows exactly what actions have been taken.

When you get that phone call, when you are asked to provide that information, you are being asked to participate in the resolution to your problem. When you are asked for retainer to continue work, it's because your case has taken on more work, your response is lacking, we have to take extra time to uncover hidden information that the IRS already knows about anyway, we have had to extend deadlines, file appeals, and deal with your Revenue Officer, whom often times has a heavy caseload of files and grows very impatient with YOUR file not doing anything. Believe it or not, the IRS has a system of accountability also, and those Revenue Officers have to answer to a manager for the cases they aren't collecting on.

Those Revenue Officers aren't required to educate you on any procedure they are about to take. They hand you a brochure that says "Taxpayer Rights", which is very vague. That's all they are required to do. They view you as a thief. If you are normal, it scares you to death.

Hire an ethical company to do the work. Omni is the most ethical company in the business. All of the other companies that tell you to check this site, or any other internet site, are quite possibly, no, I am quite sure, they are x employees of Omni, out there working for another company that only requires mediocrity. Omni strives to place the most competent people in positions of responsibility and to handle your situation.

As for the original complaintant, call your former associate at Omni Financial. If they won't listen to your complaint, then ask for the production manager and I know they will listen and respond.

I welcome your response.

Omni Financial Equates to Scam Artists

#8UPDATE EX-employee responds

For those of you in tax trouble, there are companies out there that are willing to represent you to the fullest of their ability, or so they claim. For instance, Omni Financial, located in Broomfield, Colorado offers IRS tax debt relief. It claims to be a tax resolution firm that specializes in reducing and resolving government tax liabilities.

It's solutions are simple, the IRS encourages you to pay what you owe as quickly as possible. For those individuals or businesses not able to resolve a tax debt immediately, an installment agreement can be a reasonable payment option. Installment agreements allow for the full payment of the tax debt in smaller, more manageable amounts over time. If you are unable to pay a tax debt in full, and an installment agreement is not an option, then you may be able to take advantage of the Offer in Compromise (OIC) program. Generally, the OIC program should be viewed as a last resort, after taxpayers have explored all other available payment options. One of the most common complaints from delinquent taxpayers is s****.> Unfortunately, behind the fancy website, promises of tax resolution, and assurance that you are represented by skilled professionals such as tax attorneys, CPA's and Enrolled Agents on staff to help guide you out of the current issues holding back your business, Omni Financial fails to convey a more important message to its clients.

In November of 2006 through March of 2007, I worked at Omni Financial as a prospective "associate" learning the ropes. My duties were simple, learn as much as I could about the business before being promoted. During that time, I noticed many things wrong with the company, namely, its greed, total lack of compassion, respect, and honesty with its clients. To set the record straight, there were some indivduals who played by the rules and fairly represented their clients as the advertisement states on its website. As for the others, it's a different story.

Each month every associate employed by Omni Financial is given a monthly financial goal. For instance, new associates are given goals or pullin in retainers anywhere between $3,000 - $12,000 whereas more establshed associates have to pull in between $25,000-$35,000. Each associate is given a list of clients with financial woes and must go through each and every one of these clients to make that retainer. Some practices for meeting that monthly goal are writing unnecessary letters to their clients, making unnecessary phone calls to the IRS, and reviewing client files. Associates charge for completing these tasks, and their prices widely vary depending on the task at hand. Most associates don't even write the letters sent to the clients but charge an associates fee for simply putting their signature on the paper to be sent. Also, when clients stop by to visit to either thank the associates handling their case or to make a complaint, associastes are required to sit with them in a glass conference room. The reason for this is because in each associate's office there is a "money board" tracking client retainers and the company does not want the clients knowing about these "money boards".

There are also monthly conferences among associates and staff where raffels are held and awards are given for those who pulled in the most retainer. Sometimes money is given, other times a dinner for two at a local resturant, etc. The head in charge gives a long winded speech about how the company made over $100,000 for a certain month and encourages harder work, dedication, and more ability to pull retainers from clients. For those associates who fail to pull in their monthly retainers, they are given a stern warning and ultimately fired if they can't meet their monthly goals. There were also instances when associates and their staff were banned from going to lunch because they failed to meet their monthly gols for the prior month.

When associates reach a certain tenure with the company, they are sometimes given files from other associates who are unable or unwilling to complete their clients cases. There were several instances nword got around the office about an associate or two who purposely hid files, made empty promises to clients, or just lost files all together. Sometimes they were fired, other times no action was taken. In the end, their clients were the ones who suffered.

As for the staff of associates who are attorneys and CPA's, it's somewhat true. Some of the associates who have tenure with Omni Financial are neither attorneys, former attorneys, or CPA's. They are just individuals lucky enough to have stuck with the company over the years and be promoted into these positions. During my time with Omni Financial, one of the managers promoted a staff member who was neither an attorney or a CPA. In fact, she just happened to be one of the staff members for this arrogant manager who held nothing more than a college degree.

As for the associates and the sales representatives other ethical woes. Drug use is fairly common at Omni Financial. I have experienced first hand employees within the company doing blow in their vehicles because it "keeps them going." Oddly enough, this kind of behavior is commonly known among company higher ups but nothing is done about the problem. In fact, to ensure that employees push themselves to the brink of insanity trying to make their monthly goals, Omni Financial had one vending machine on its floor stocked with what else, Red Bull and Star Bucks Double Expressos. Afterall, it's a company that cares for its clients and employees, or should I say, the employees who can bring in their required monthly retainers, if not more than the stated goal.

As for the associates compassion for their clients, I knew one associate who used to laugh at the fact that one of the client's that he was representing lost all of her property, was leveyed, had her paychecks taken by the IRS, and had contemplated suicide. Instead of being there for his client, he asked her, do you have enough money to keep your file open? His words to me were, I'm not her f**king priest, doctor, or family, all I want to know is whether she can pay and if she can't then I'm closing her file.

Fortunately for me, I had seen enough within three months to know that my ethical duty as an attorney was jeopardized by working for this company. As for the others, I wonder what it takes to wake up in the morning and look into the mirror while convincing themselves that they are human beings.
